Upminster & District Horticultural Society

Your local gardening group for outings and lectures

Our next lecture is on 11th October 2022 when Paul Sainsbury will be visiting us to tell us about the restoration of Upminster Windmill and the evolution of its gardens.  This evening is our annual charity lecture.  Further details on our Lecture Page

If you live in Upminster, Hornchurch or any of the surrounding areas and you are interested in gardening, plants, growing fruit and vegetables or just visiting beautiful gardens, why not join us?   You can join on the night if you come to one of our lectures, or click on the button below to find our new members' form.

From October through to June (except February) lectures (open to non-members for a small charge) are held in the New Windmill Hall in Upminster.  Doors open 7.15 for 7.45 pm start.  In the summer, coach outings are organised for members to visit gardens and towns of interest.

Full information is given in our Handbook which is issued annually in February.  If you would like to know more, click on the email link at the bottom of the page and we will respond as soon as possible.

Copies of recent handbooks are now available for you to download and read so that you can see what we have been doing in recent years.
